An Opportunity to Observe and Critique a Case-based Classroom Discussion

Date:

Thursday, March 23, 2017, 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Using the case method in your teaching requires many skills: listening, asking good questions, managing a classroom discussion, and organizing information around learning objectives. In this workshop, we will watch some short video clips of a faculty member who is new to case-based teaching, and critique what she does well and where she has challenges, all of them common to case-method teaching. Nancy Kane, Assoc. Dean for Case-Based Teaching and Learning, will moderate the discussion. Novice and seasoned faculty are welcome!
